Statement from Chair of Keswick Athletic Club
It is with regret that I have to announce that Keswick Athletic Club have cancelled all club races and training planned for 2020 until further notice.
This is not a decision we have taken lightly but given the serious situation facing the UK over coming months and the governmental measures to limit the impact of the Covid-19 coronavirus, it is one we feel compelled to take.
Fell Race competitors must be equipped with the following kit, which is mandatory under FRA requirements:
• Waterproof whole body cover (with taped seams and attached hood)
• Other body cover e.g. thermal vest
• Hat and gloves
• Compass
• Whistle
• Map of the route and surrounding area
• Emergency food
Whether the kit is carried during the race, is at the discretion of the race organiser and not the individual runner. Random kit checks may take place at the start of the race. Thank you.
