Race
Details:
This is the second of a pair of races run for charity (Grisedale Grind is the first). This is an undulating course along forest trails, out onto open fell over the summits of Barf and Lord’s Seat, and returning along forest trails. An ideal race for those wanting to try moving from trail to fell racing. **Entry fees are all going to the Keswick Lions**
Competitors must be equipped with the following kit, which is mandatory under FRA requirements:
• Waterproof whole body cover (with taped seams and attached hood)
• Other body cover e.g. thermal vest
• Hat and gloves
• Compass
• Whistle
• Map of the route and surrounding area
• Emergency food
Whether the kit is carried during the race, is at the discretion of the race organiser and not the individual runner. Random kit checks may take place at the start of the race.
Fell shoes are advisable for this course.
Competitors PLEASE park in main Whinlatter car park, or future races will be jeopardised.
