Road hill session: Manor Brow 14 x 60secs off jog down recoveries. This session is suitable for all abilities. Please wear hi-viz.
Sunday social run -all members of the club welcome for a run out. A recce of this year's Clough Head English Champs race route. Please note new time for this: Now meeting 1pm at Threlkeld Cricket Club (because Ben Nevis entries open at 12pm and you will need to be by your computer at mid day, ready to enter as soon as entries open!). Please bring full fell kit suitable for the conditions. Pub lunch or coffee shop social in Threlkeld after.
Road speedwork: 4-5 x 5mins on flat road route from Rawnsley pavilion to pool via Briar Rigg, off 2min recoveries. This session is suitable for all ablilities. Please wear hi-viz.
Headtorch Latrigg Uphill Timetial. Please bring watch to self-time. Route is from junction of Briar Rigg/Spooney Green Lane to Latrigg summit via zig zags.
Ladies Social Trail Run: Railway & Brundholme Woods (optional Latrigg)
Approx 7-10k 120-300m ascent
Headtorch offroad speedwork: 8 x 3mins on railwayline. Jog out to Low Briery and then 8 x 3mins on the flatter, 'smooth' part of the line, off 60' regroup recoveries. This session suitable for all abilities.
Headtorch Hills: 12-14 x 2mins off 60' regroup/jog down recoveries. Jenkin Hill via Spooney Green Lane.
Round Town 'pyramid' road session: reps of 5-4-3-2-1-1-2-3-4-5mins on flat part of the round town route. Recoveries half the duration of reps, ie. 2.5mins, 2mins, 3mins, 60secs, etc. Please wear hi-viz.
Road speedwork: 30mins of 400m efforts in pairs by Crosthwaite Church. Pair with a partner of equal ability. One runs rep while other has recovery x 30mins! This session suitable for all abilities. Please wear hi-viz.
15 x 45sec hills in Castlehead Woods, jog down and regroup recoveries. This session is suitable for all abilities.
