CORE TRAINING
Due to popular demand core training will start again this winter on Monday October 29th at 6.00 pm.  To avoid the squash we had last year, we have moved the venue to Crossthwaite Parish rooms (next to the co-op).  This also puts the cost up, of course, and we are trialling it at £3.50 per session, payable on the night.  Will (fitness coach) will take most of the sessions and we will manage the ones he can’t between ourselves.  Please bring a yoga mat or similar.
DERWENTWATER 10
Our legendary road run is on again this year on Sunday 4th November at 12.00 noon.  Full details are on the website.
Registration:  preferably on line through the club website but at the school on the day assuming there is space.
Lots of you will be running but if you are not this is your last chance to marshal this year.  I f you wish to do so please contact phil.winskill@gmail.com.
From KONG ADVENTURE
We’re having a demo evening for Altra road shoes on the evening (6:30 pm) of Wed the 24th of October. Slightly different to our usual formula, we’ve decided to make more of an event of it! You’ll need to prebook, with the shop, and it’s just £5. For that, you’ll get a new pair of socks, fed with Pizza and watered with Beer. As there are only 20 spaces pre-booking is preferred, as to avoid disappointment, although entry on the night will be available. As always with Kong, your club discount will apply on the night.
ALSO: the Kong Winter series of fell races begins on November 17th with Two Riggs.
CLUB CHAMPS
I think its two road races and one last fell race to sort out the club championships!!
COMMITTEE MEETING
Our next meeting is on October 30th at 7.45 in the pavilion.  Please let Sam have any items for discussion well in advance.  Ideas for the Annual ‘do’ are particularly welcome!
Finally, GOOD LUCK to our five teams of relay runners for Saturday!
Thank you!
