Andy Slattery of Keswick AC finished  35th in 4 hours, 15 minutes and 34 seconds in the Long Duddon fell race on Saturday. ‘Slatts’ said “it was a fairly tough navigation test on a course notorious for “wandering”, as the clag also had a debilitating effect on this race.

Nick Barber of Pennine Fell Runners won the race in 3:11:42. The Long Duddon is a classic fell race covering 18 miles around the head of the Duddon Valley with 6000ft of climb over Harter, Hardknott, Little Stand, Swirl How, Dow Crag, White Pike and Caw.
