SUBS
I now have the list of those who have not paid their subs for this year.  If you are happy to be struck off my mailing list (and I suspect some of you are!) that is fine.  If you have ‘meant’ to pay, do it now!  If you are unsure, check by reply now!

AGM
This will be on Wednesday November 15th at the Fitz Park pavilion.  The new KAC honours board will be in place plus the trophies won by our magnificent men this year.  There will be beer, hot drinks and cake available from 7.15 with a prompt start to the business part of the meeting at 7.45.  Please do put the date in your diary.  The committee will officially stand down and, hopefully, be re-elected as most are happy to stay in place.  I will be standing down as Chair having served for three years.  If you are at all interested in the post do get in touch and I can let you know what is involved.  Key requirements are the ability to chair meetings and a substantial amount of time to give to the club.

CLOUGH HEAD:  ENGLISH CHAMPIONSHIP FELL RACE 2018
KAC has been asked to host a short race in next year’s fell racing programme.  We have selected to race over Clough Head rather than the initial request of Latrigg.  The race will take place on May 6th from Threlkeld cricket club.  Sam has already put a lot of time and effort into this undertaking and he now needs volunteers to be on a steering committee with him.  Those of you with previous race organisation will be particularly welcome but novices are also very welcome.
On the day we will also need LOTS of volunteers for registration, marshalling, refreshments etc as we want to make this a first class race.
So there is another date for the diary.

ANNUAL CELEBRATION AND PRIZE GIVING
This will be held at the end of January, details to follow.

CROSS COUNTRY
The season is about to start.  Last year our men were well represented but it would be good if we could have a few more ladies out to make up a team and support our cross country stalwarts.  Dates will be confirmed shortly but it is a series of about six races at different venues in North Cumbria.  Any ladies interested can just get in touch directly with me.

OBITUARY
Club members will be sad to hear of the death of Ian Addison, 83, a very enthusiastic runner and race volunteer, and a true gentleman.
