AUTUMN TRAINING
Starts this Tuesday September 4th with a fanfare of trumpets!
The committee have asked Dave Troman (ultra runner extraordinaire and local running coach) to take a lead in planning our Tuesday and Thursday sessions supported, as ever, by Steve Hebblethwaite.
Usual time 6 for a 6.15 start from the Fitz Park pavilion.
This week Dave will outline his plan of action and lead the session.  He will also lead regular sessions throughout the winter.  We will still need some of us/you to lead as Dave and Steve cannot commit to every session.  As all sessions will be planned well in advance, we will be asking some of you to commit to leading those session you are confident with.  This will give us much better continuity so do please help with this where you can.
And do come along on Tuesday to get us off to a great start!
ROUND THE HOUSES
This famous Keswick race needs a makeover!
We do need a new Race Organiser for the race and we are concerned about the safety aspects of it.  So the committee has it on their agenda for general discussion at the next meeting, Tuesday September 11th at 7.45 in the pavilion.  Any club member interested in contributing to the discussion is most welcome to come along so we can decide the best way forward.  It is important, in our view, to keep the race on our calendar but it needs some serious amendments.
Do please come and offer ideas for this.
VIRGIN LONDON MARATHON
We will have two places available for this and you are asked, as usual, to submit a written application for a place stating reasons etc to Sam secretary@keswickac.org.uk.
Also the Calvert Trust have acquired places this year and are looking for runners to run to raise money for them.  If you would be interested in that please email directly back to me news@keswickac.org.uk.
