With few fell races locally, KAC’s chair Lesley Malarkey went up to Skye to do the classic Glamaig Hill race.  This is short (4.5 miles) and steep (2,500 feet straight up from the sea).  It is regarded as one of the most technical of the Scottish hill races. It has an extraordinarily steep ascent and even steeper descent with a lot of scree running, hence its reputation.  Finlay Wild marginally improved his record (44.10 min) in the very dry conditions.  Lesley was pleased to get back safely in 1 hour 28 min, winning the V60 and coming in 22/40 women. Scary but very exhilarating!
