Welcome to Keswick Athletic Club

Keswick Athletic Association is a well established running club with a great tradition of fell, road and cross-country running. Over the years, some of the greats in British Fell running have represented the club and some of their records still stand today, including those of the great Kenny Stuart. More details of our history and club records can be found in other places on the website.

Today, the club is an eclectic mix of runners: young and old, competitive and social, fell and road, fast and slow, local and far afield, active and less active but the glue holding us all together is that running is what we do, though very occasionally we will talk about something else! Whilst strong club teams are often in competition, both at local races and on the national scene, there are lots of runners amongst our number who just like to run to keep healthy, to enjoy the fabulous scenery, to unwind, to just feel completely free for a while. That is one of the club’s strengths, it caters for all and everyone is welcome.

There is a twice-weekly club training session, a ladies’ social group, strength & conditioning sessions in the winter, as well as many informal training and social runs. Everyone is welcome to the training sessions, you do not have to be a member. Or perhaps if you want contacts to run with, at whatever level, or someone to take you out to run on the fells, just get in touch, just click on one of the icons below to send us an email.

There is no need to make a commitment, just come along and have a go!
