We had a very busy committee meeting last night and here are the current proposed dates for December onwards.
DECEMBER
HELP PLEASE – DECEMBER 15th

Steve Harwood is appealing for helpers at the next Cumbria League XC event to be held at Fitz Park, Keswick on Saturday 15th December. This event also includes the  County Masters Championship. The races start with the U11s at 12noon and progress through the age groups to the Senior races at about 1.00pm – finishing overall at about 2.00pm. DECEMBER 15th 
KONG RACES is Stile End, Oughterside and Barrow starting from the Coledale Inn at 11 am.

JUNIORS – DECEMBER 19th

Dec 19th Fun training at 5.30 followed by drinks and treats at Wetherspoons.  Senior members invited too.

NORTHERN FELLS
This club is holding a Choc-O winter running event that you are invited to take part in at any time during December or January. This is just a ‘purely for fun’ run around a set of given grid references taking about 3 hours.  it has been strongly recommended by a member of the committee, so if you want a run with a difference, search for details on their website HERE

DECEMBER 16th – BOOK LAUNCH
KAC’s own poet in residence, Julie Carter, has a poetry book launch on Dec 16th 4-6 in Portinscale Village Hall.  Food, drinks and poetry, all welcome! Event details and tickets HERE

18th Dec A fancy/festive dress run round the ‘Round less Houses’ route, that is the new Round the Houses route as from next year.  Followed by a social gathering in the George.
25th Dec, no training but there is a park run at 9.00 am.
1st January: no evening training nor even the usual run round the lake!!!
All KAC members are challenged to do the Whinlatter (at 9) and Keswick (at 10.30) park runs travelling by bike if the weather permits!!
Normal training resumes from the 8th Jan
THURSDAYS training
Usual training 6th and 13th Dec
20th Dec by popular request, a torchlight run up Spooney Green lane and up Jenkin Hill, probably in 90 sec efforts (to be decided).  Festive dress if possible.
27th usual training.
DECEMBER 26th – BOXING DAY
Optional social run from the cenotaph at 11 am.  Any offers to organise much appreciated.  Otherwise it will just happen if people turn up.
JANUARY

JANUARY 1st

12th – Kong Race at Clough Head
13th –  Club social run around Glenderaterra leaving from Lesley’s house, Copper Beech, Brundholme Road.  Slower runners at 10.30, faster at 11.00 am.  This will be followed by the Ladies’ meeting at Copper Beech, time and details to follow.
JANUARY 20th
Club social run, a Skiddaw Special with  a choice of routes.  From the pavilion with soup and socialising afterwards.  11.00 am.
JANUARY 27th  
Sped’s 3 Peaks from Sped’s flat above Tog 24.  11.00 start.
FEBRUARY
FEBRUARY 2nd
KAC Annual presentation and party evening at Braithwaite Village Hall.  Hot meal, prizes, ceilidh and a good craic.
Tickets available via the club shop: adults £15, U16s £5, U5s free.
This is a subsidised event as a thank you to all members who have made 2018 such a great year for the club so do come and enjoy it.
If you currently hold a KAC trophy, Please get it back to Steve Harwood/pavilion by the end of December
