A huge congratulations to our own @matko.94 who smashed out an insanely fast Tea Room Round in yesterday’s blazing heat. He’s joined quite a few of our other members who have completed the Round since it started in 2017.

“I had the perfect day for it! Maybe too good. First half went well, I was floating up the climbs and the shirt was soon off. However the warmer than expected weather and fast start soon caught up with me, cramp started at Buttermere and gradually got worst from there. It was pretty tough to keep pushing through it but managed to keep a good pace. I really started to struggle coming off Causey and up to Barrow, then especially on the road back to town. Thought it was all over at Portinscale when the legs completely locked up and had to stop to stretch off. Gritted teeth push to the line from there.”
