Keswick AC runner, Rob Brown, finished Sunday’s London Marathon in 2 hours, 34 minutes and 48 seconds. A very impressive time in cold and blustery conditions. The crowd was amazing this year. Other Keswick runners to finish were: Nicola Paxon (3:34:41); Anja Coulthard (3:45:31); Ella Scott (4:34:58); Nic Wiseman (4:47:38). Ellla and Nic were beneficiaries of the club’s allocation of places. Any member who wishes to apply for a club place in 2020 should apply if they are unsuccessful in the ballot. The results of which are released in October. You have until 5pm on 3 May to apply via the ballot.

The 39th London Marathon was the biggest and best yet, with a new course record for the legendary marathon man Eliud Kipchoge, more amazing finishers than ever before, and an incredible £1 billion raised for charity since the first race in 1981.
