Keswick AC Ladies and men teams finished second in Saturday’s Cumbria Cross Country League fixture at Penrith. The second of five meetings.

On a beautiful day for running, Jenn Mattinson finished second overall in senior women’s race. Trudy Beetham was sixth, Niamh Hunter, eighth and Nicky Butler in 19th place. The team finished with 16 points. 

Carl Bell won the men’s race, under-20s runner, Zac Hudd, finished sixth, George Foster ninth, Graham Airey 12th, Ivan Holroyd 21st, Simon Hunter 23rd and Steve Jones 25th. The men’s team also finished with 16 points at the end of the day.
